With the development of global economic integration and the supply chain management integration, Automotive Industry enterprise competition is becoming more and more diversified; its focus is increasingly shifting to competition of supply chain management. Supply chain has become the key element of establishing and developing enterprise core competitiveness, and suppliers are the most important part of the whole supply chain who directly affects the enterprise operational efficiency. Therefore, select the right suppliers and establishing strategic partnerships, creating the unique supply chain becomes so important in Automotive Industry that should be taken into consideration.This article takes BW, an automotive enterprise of powertrain and transmission components manufacturer, as the research object and through a large amount of searching and analyzing the domestic and foreign articles about supplier selection, evaluation as well as management theoretical research and practical experience, together with BW market position in the industry, the company products characteristics, the number of suppliers and distribution of the supplier chain management are summarized. Based on supply chain methodology, the current situation and existing problem of the new supplier selection and management in BW case are analyzed. As an example, Tianjin Sinter On has the delivery, quality issues and hard to meet customer demand. Through the analysis, the reason that lacking of risk assessment in BW supplier selection and evaluation process is found. Using Daido Steel(Special Steel Division) as another example to analyze the impact of the budget cost resulting financial negative upon BW Tier II raw material supplier pricing increase to the BW Tier I suppliers. Targeting the existing BW supplier selection and evaluation issues, a tailored set of supplier evaluation index is established, which contains 7 first level index and 24 second level index. Considering the supplier evaluation index, the procedure of supplier selection is optimized. With the proposed solution of Daido Steel pricing increase, it put forward the strategic idea of supply chain resources integration of ordering quantity and commitment in the supplier management area. Starting from the characteristics of supplier evaluation index, verifying the implementation key steps of the supplier selection procedure of BW as well as supply chain resources integration result the triple win situation, the feasibility analysis of the proposed concepts is finished from these three aspects. Last portion of the article is the summary of the study and put forward some ideas and suggestions for further study.This study not only has certain reference for BW supplier selection and management strategy of cooperative relationship, but also helping to create value of unique supply chain on the other automotive industry companies.
