| Equipment Industry (EI) is a typical complex technical industry. The technical level of EI influences not only the development speed and quality of the national economy, but also the comprehensive national power and international competition capability. Owing to the difference in technical resources and R&D fund, there is a technological distance between Chinese enterprises and foreign competitors. Because of the market competition, Chinese EI enterprises, which once promoted technological capability by techniques introduction, have to face the problem that it is much more difficult to introduce new techniques than ever before. So it is urgent to seek a new development path of technological capability for Chinese EI enterprises.Based on magnitude of references, case study and statistical analysis, this paper aims at studying the development path of technological capability with the CoPS theory and technology integration theory. Firstly, this paper analyses the history of Chinese EI enterprises, in order to find the valuable points for technological capability development. Secondly, using the general system theory, this paper focuses on the innovation process of CoPS and establishes the innovation model for equipments based on the distribution of techniques. Thirdly, this paper explains the principle of technological capability development with the counting statistics. At last, this paper summarizes the development path of technological capability and establishes a model of developing technological capability.Through the above research, this paper draws two conclusions. On the one hand, it is an efficient development path, which is "Technology introduction - Technology absorption -Technology integration - System development", to develop technological capability and acquire independent innovation capability. And technology integration can help the enterprise avoiding the "bucket effect" and promote the technological capability development. Meanwhile, it is useful to maintain the initiative of learning and innovation. On the other hand, the model based on the distribution of techniques can help the enterprise measure the technological distance between Chinese enterprises and foreign competitors, understand its position in the global technical system, identify whether the technology should be integrated external or not and establish the product platform, so the enterprise is able to achieve the innovation of CoPS and develop the technological capability by adopting the method of technology integration. |
