Equipment Industry(EI) is a typical technology-intensive industry. The technical level of EI influences not only the development speed and quality of the national economy, but also the comprehensive national power and international competition capability. Due to the differences in technical resources and R&D fund, there is a technology gap between Chinese enterprises and their foreign adversaries. Because of the market competition, Chinese EI enterprises, which once promoted technological capability by techniques introduction, have to face the problem that it is much more difficult to introduce new techniques than ever before. Therefore, it is urgent to seek some powerful methods for Chinese EI enterprises. As a rising model of technology management, Technology Integration(TI) can provide a faster and more efficient product solution by integrating internal and external technology sources to achieve the match between demand and supply under the circumstance that various demands are changing fast. The modes of TI provide a new approach to the development of technological capability under the background of the changing demand and the technology proliferation.Based on several streams of reference research, case study and analysis, this paper tries to give a taxonomy of TI Modes and analyze the notions and applicable qualifications respectively. Firstly, a mass of references of technology Integration, CoPS and Open Innovation are introduced to enhance the theoretical basis of this paper. Furthermore, taxonomy of System Company is introduced and analyzed combined with the characteristics of EI. Besides, using the general system theory, this paper focuses on Case Study Research about the typical technology integration process of EI. Finally, a framework and taxonomy based on degree of integration are developed to indicate the modes of TI and to understand under what kind of conditions certain mode of TI should be chose.
