A Study On The Evaluation Of The Intensive Utilization Potential Of Urban Land Of Baotou

Land is the bearer of urban development, and city planning essentially is the process of utilizing urban land. In China the area of cultivated land is small on average, so land economizing and intensive utilization can be a permanent subject of city planning. In evaluating the potential of intensive utilization of urban land of Baotou an attempt is made to study city planning, particularly urban land utilization and urban space distribution from the angle of land utilization, and through the investigation of intension of the intensive utilization of urban land, a concept of intensive utilization of urban land is brought up from the angle of city planning, and also the index system of evaluating intensive utilization of land is built on macro level, medium level and micro level.In evaluating macro level, taking the present situation and planning of Baotou land utilization into account the characteristics of the land utilization of macro level is researched and made clear through an analysis of the five elements such as rationality of urban space contribution, utilization degree of urban land, utilization efficiency of urban land, investment into urban land, possible lasting utilization degree of urban land as well as 18 names in the method of comparing the other seven regions, which are similar to Baotou in city character of Bao tou and can be compared in the aspect of land utilization.In evaluating medium level, based on the division of functional sections, the intensive degree of land utilization is evaluated through the division of evaluated units, with the example taken of resident purpose, the main type of urban land utilization. In the evaluation, with eleven selected indices, based on divided evaluation units the index data are respectively acquired, analyzed and compared using mathematical method. In the evaluation of industrial land, based on the evaluation results, an analysis is made of the existing issues with the intensive utilization of urban land of Baotou, the" development direction and the methods and measures to be taken for promoting the intensive utilizationof urban land.
