As the Knowledge-Economic times come, High-tech enterprises are playing a more and more important role in a country's economy. The competition of companies in fact is the competition of human resources. The R&D employees are the most valuable human resources in high-tech enterprises. The performance evaluation of those people is not only related to their compensation, position change, promotion and demotion, prize and punishment, but also determine the enterprise's rise and fall.My current performance evaluation system of high-tech enterprises is based on the traditional thought,which is not appropriate for the R&D employees of high-technology companies because lack of pertinency with their features.Through this article' s statement of R&D emplpyees'characteristics and the feature analyses of their work in high-tech enterprises, the main problem existing in the appraisal system of R&D employees'performance in high-technology companies of our country' s nowadays can be found out. With the general performance appraisal theory as a guide, in conjunction with matrix structure theory, team performance appraisal theory, the application of 360-degree feedback evaluation system, Balanced Score Card and Key Performance Indicators examination techniques,this article provide an improved idea for the performance evaluation of R&D employees in high-tech enterprises.The author expects that this article can supply high-technology companies of our country with some helpful methods and detailed reference for R&D employees' appraisal and the other knowledgeable employees' performance appraisal.
