University in Xi'an stands in great numbers, university student travel market potential enormous, but the tourist enterprise lacks the correct understanding of university student's tourist market for a long time, and in academia university student travel behavioral research just start, study aspect to be relatively shallow, research results lack test of scientific method, inconvincible. Travel behavioral research to the university students of Xi'an is a blank especially. This makes university student in Xi'an development of tourist market lack effective datum support.Because of the above-mentioned reasons, this thesis absorbs and draws lessons from various theories and methods of travel consumer's behaviouristics, regard university student in Xi'an as the research object, through with ordinary tourist's behavioral contrast and determining the nature to university student's travel demand and process of consumption and quantitative analysis, summarize university student travel behavioral characteristic , the factor of influencing travel consumer behavior and difference of university student travel partiality, propose relevant countermeasure and suggestion , hope to provide basis for developing university student of Xi'an city tourist market.The main research contents of this thesis include five parts , first, to study the travel demand characteristic of university students. Through study, we find university students in Xi'an have very much positive attitude to travel, travel knowing in the attitude , feeling and thinking are quite identical in the attitude of travel knowing, it means university students in Xi'an have very high travel enthusiasm. We analyze through the method of the factor and frequent-analyze, divide university students' tourist motive into six kinds: seekig knowledge motive, pressing and belonging motive, amusement, and emotion motive and practicing and visiting friend's motive. Result of study indicate university student there are certain differences to tourist resources and travel partiality with actual tourist site of visit of destination. University student's favorite tourist resources type is mountains and rivers scene, national conditions and customs, and cultural relics and historic sites tourist resources, the most travel destination is Sichuan, Yunnan, Tibet, Shaanxi, Beijing and foreign countries. Actually, the travel destination of university student's visit mainly centers in Shaanxi area relyingmainly on humane historic site , and the visit rate of the farther the distance is lower, this is inconsistent with the partiality for their travel destination .Second, to study the tourism consumption characteristic of university students. Research reveals, the travel consumer behavior of university students demonstrates the characteristic that adapts to their economic ability and special physiology and psychology. According to investigation, travel funds of university student mainly stem from parents and live frugally money got off to save at ordinary times, and what they considered most before going on a tour is price of beauty spot and personal economic condition , display in choice to traffic , accommodation , shopping ,mainly with train, house of relatives ,friends and classmate, and inexpensive local products, and residence time in beauty spot is short, amounts of consumption are less too , so the lower economic ability is the main bottleneck that restrict university student go on a tour. And psychological characteristics of university students: liking freedom, unwilling tied and easy to accept new things ,etc, determines they are willing to join self-service tour or tour activity that class organizes, and can obtain travel information through various channel: relatives and friends recommendation, TV set, network ,etc. for instance.Third, to research the main influencing factors of university student's travel consumer behavior. The author employs pluralism to return to the analytic approach and do further research and test to the above-mentioned conclusions progressively , found finally the main influencing factors of that university students travel ,for exemple, times of travel, travel time and the amount of consumption of travel, are monthly living cost, distance of scenic spot, price of spot, the emotion to the travel and will of going on a tour, and monthly living cost and will that go on a tour become the common factors , influencing university student travel times , travel time and the amount of daily consumption, and the monthly living cost becomes the first influence factor.Fourth, study on difference of the partiality for that university student's travel. We do preliminary research to university students travel partiality through single factor analysis and relevant analytic approaches. The result of study reveal university students in different sex , different family structure , different family site and different travel motive, have the different partiality ,boys like the historical relic tour resources and travel project of exploration and movement, and the girl likes nationality , festival celebration , diet, medical treatment tour resources and visits and participates in the sex tour project;It is not the only-child that likes the garden , nationality , art , festivalcelebration and medical treatment tourist resources even more than the only-child;Rural students like the historical relic and medical treatment tourist resources even more than urban students;pressing and belonging motive and practice with visit friend university student of motive attitude is " extensive interest ", amusement and emotion university student travel partiality of motive attitude is " clear about what to love and what to hate ".The fifth, study on the difference of travel behavior between university students and ordinary tourists. Through the study on the travel behavioral difference between university students and ordinary tourists, we find the tourist motive that university students press , amuse and the emotion belonging seem stronger than ordinary tourists , university students prefer the mountains and rivers scene tourist resources in travelling at the same time, and economic ability of university student is lower than those ordinary visitors with working experience, time when staying in tourist site is not so long as ordinary visitors, the consuming capacity of the travel is not so strong as ordinary visitors too. In the channel of choosing information, university students' choice range is wider than that of ordinary visitors, it means the university students ability to accept the new things is better than ordinary visitor.In a word, this research has analyzed the characteristic of the travel consumer behavior of the university students in Xi'an more comprehensively and deeply, it is the further completion of university student's travel behavior pattern, at the same time this text analyses the real example about university student tourist motive type, influencing university student travel behavioral factor and university student travel partiality, tests relevant theories scientifically, is an attempt and innovation on research approaches.
