As construction project is long in time limit for a project, large in investment, more in participating in the subject, complicated in organization membership, involved a lot of uncertain factors in the whole course, whether project owner, or contractor, will face various risks in project implementation, risk management seems extremely important. Risk management, for the various risk incidents in the course of a project in fact, adopts a rational countermeasure on the basis of rational analysis and evaluation to promote the realization of the management object of a project. The course includes risk analysis, risk estimate and evaluation, risk management countermeasure.The peper has made progress in the following aspects:1. Proceeded with the development of risk management and current situation, it has been described the definition of the risk, formation mechanism, character and the course of risk management importantly.2. It is discussed particularly the main process for risk management of construction project--risk identification , risk estimate and evaluation , risk management countermeasure . Risk identification is the foundation of risk management; risk estimate and evaluation is the key of risk management; risk management countermeasure is the core of risk management.3. This paper puts its emphasis on the application of Monte Carlo method in risk evaluation of construction project. As a kind of risk evaluation technique this method is proved to possess special superiority and extensive applicability through we simulate the cost per square meter of construction part of some engineering. Because there is a large mount of random numbers produced with certain probability distribution in the process of Monte Carlo simulation, the use of computer is necessary. This paper utilizes the Matlab's strong function in mathematical calculation to produce the random numbers and complete the whole process of simulation, instead of traditional program language. The application of Matlab software simplifies the program and makes it easier and more effective.Through the theoretic study for risk management of construction project, this paper provides a method of treating engineering risk correctly for the engineering...
