Industrial supervisory computer control system emerged and developedgradually in response to the development of computer technology, automatic controltechnology, modern detection and sensor technology. The highly integratedtechnologies especially the combination of automatics and computer technologymake industrial control system evolve into a computer supervisory control systemwith high degree of automation. So far, the automatics of heat treatment haveobtained enormous achievements in our country, but, A good deal of problems,nevertheless, still exist such as the relatively low level of integrated automation, poorquality of heat treatment, inefficiency of production, high strength of labor intensityand so on. This paper elaborates a new control mode to combine computersupervisory and video surveillance based on S7-300PLC and WinCC aiming to solvethe automatic inefficiency of heat treatment as mentioned above. Electric controlsystem, temperature control system, mechanical operating system and vediomonitoring system constitute to a continuous production line of heat treatment.This paper first presents the research status and existing problems followed by adetailed introduction of tempering furnace system including its equipmentcomposition and technical parameters. To realize it, computer supervisory system andvideo surveillance system will be applied with both hardware and software. Inhardware part, this paper elaborately introduced all kinds of equipment selection andits function. Including PLC selection, Frequency converter selection, protocolconverter selection. Also the innovative usage of fibre-optical amplifier andProximity switch, both of them are used for any problem that this system possibly beappeared. In software part, this paper elaborately introduced the design of PLCcontrol procedure and the editor of WinCC. The PLC control procedure includes theTemperature’s reading and writing procedure, the A-C dynamo control procedure, thePLC’s input/output program; To the WinCC, it includes the establishment of variables and motion graphics, the generation of Report form, and the clickpreservation and click set-up about system data. Finally, the subject has been used inthe real application, and has basically achieved the expected requirements.
