The spare parts are important material when the device is maintenance andrepaired. The mining machinery spare parts are always expensive, and because of theirregular size and shape they must be placed in the container transportation. In thisway they need to be opened every time for scan test and it is difficult to manage it.With the rapid development of science and technology, the application scope of RFIDtechnology is more and more widely. Base on its non-contact, multi-objective andquickly identify characteristics RFID technology can overcome the trouble describedabove in the mining machinery spare parts warehouse management. So an intelligentmine machine spare parts warehouse management system is designed and developedin this paper based on RFID technology.In this paper, the theory of RFID is summarized first, and the demand for thesystem is analyzed by using UML modeling method, which can make the demandvisualize. Then the RFID technology is introduced into the existing warehousemanagement system (WMS) and the intelligent spare parts warehouse managementsystem based on the RFID technology(RFID-IWMS)was designed. During theprocess, Delphi7and SQL Server2008are used for the system and databasedevelopment tools. In the system the data acquisition subsystem for RFID andmonitoring subsystem are in detail designed. Through the RFID-IWMS system,loading and unloading and spare parts inventory intelligent operation can be realizedin a certain extent,, and the spare parts warehouse is under the real-time monitoring,which can save labor, and improve the operating efficiency.
