Fall dust during mining process, separate minerals during the deepprocessing and fall dust and cool during the store and transportation, extensivequantities of water is being used. However, in the process of dehydration, it isalmost impossible to remove all of the water, about5%~15%water usuallyremain in the coal. So when we do some transportation in winter, the coal can beeasily frozen in the train carriages. Spraying antifreeze to the inner surfaces ofthe train carriages and coal is a general method to deal with that.Although traditional spraying device can be used to achieve the goal. It notonly costs too much in labor, material and financial resources, but also has theproblems of antifreeze waste and environment pollution. To some extent, it ishard to meet the need of process. For these reasons, an antifreeze sprayingdevice with good adaptability, high automation and reliable performance is thereality need of coal transportation business. It also has a great significance toimprove the efficiency of transportation, reduce energy waste and decreaseenvironment pollution.To solve the problems, an antifreeze spraying device is designed, which hasthe function of lifting, falling, rotation and leak-proof. To shorten the researchcycle and reduce the cost of experiment, the research process of theoreticalanalysis, virtual prototype, virtual prototype analysis, physical prototypemanufacture and experiment, project application is used. Main contents andresults of this study are as follows:(1) After site survey and research to some antifreeze spray devices, a new antifreeze spraying device is designed and a state invention patent is declared.(2) The reliability of structure and matching of motors and gears areanalyzed and calculated. Then the virtual prototype is modeled by the Pro/Esoftware, and the work of assembling and interference is inspected.(3) The static characteristic of key components is analyzed by the ANSYSsoftware, then the modal characteristic of antifreeze spraying device and thevibration influence from motors, gears and trains are analyzed. The results showthat the device has a good static and modal characteristic.(4) According to the results of static and modal analysis, some improvingmethods are presented and a further analysis is made. After changing thethickness of support upright and tracks, the device has a better modalcharacteristic.(5) Physical prototype is made and tested. The results prove that it has goodspraying effect, correct running parameters and specified spraying amount thatmeet the rule of railway administration.
