Plant growth regulators are synthesized organic compounds which have the similar physiological activity as plant hormones.Plant growth regulators is characterized by less usage,increasing crops production and low cost.The application of plant growth regulators is considered as an important way to realize the transform from traditional agriculture to high technological agriculture.2-(3,4-Dichlorophenoxy)ethyl-diethylamine is an excellent plant growth regulator with its high physiological activity and has aroused wide attention.The article summarized the physiological effects,applications in agriculture fields and different synthesis ways of 2-(3,4-Dichlorophenoxy)ethyl-diethylamine.By the comparison of different synthetic processes,DCPTA is synthesized through preparation of 3, 4-dichlorophenoxy and twoβ-chloroethyl ethyl amine hydrochloride.Structure of DCPTA was confirmed by ~1H NMR.In this paper,the reaction condition for every step was discussed and the better technological conditions of DCPTA were achieved.At the same time,innovative techniques were put forward that the products were handled, which reduces the environment pollution from wastewater,increases the efficiency and saves the cost,improves the market competitive power and enterprise benefit.By use of the epoxidation,nine novel compounds were designed and synthesized.Their structures were confirmed by means of elemental analysis,~1H NMR, IR.
