The Competitiveness Research Of China's Shipbuilding Industry Based On Market Performance

Economic globalization is beneficial to the reasonable allocation of resources, factors, capital and technology in the global market, and it also can effectively promote the development of world economy. With the globalization of the economy, The competition between nations and enterprises has not only limited to the domestic market, but also to the international market. For nations, industries and business, how to enhance their own strength in international competition and how to show their competitive advantages, have become key issues need to be resolved. In this context, the relevant national research institutions, scholars and international organizations have carried out research on competitiveness, and the competitiveness becomes the theoretical focus.As one of the few international competitiveness of a comprehensive industry, shipbuilding industry is a set of labor-intensive, capital-intensive and technology-intensive, which also has a strong focus to petrochemical, light industry, textile, equipment manufacturing, electronic information, etc. It is very important to China's economic development in promoting the competitiveness of shipbuilding industry.First of all, This paper reviews the research of competitiveness in China and abroad. On the bases, we analyze the research material about competitiveness of shipbuilding industry, and divided them into two categories on evaluation methods and impact factor, so we have overall understanding about the competitiveness of the shipbuilding industry.Secondly, the paper consolidates the theory of competitiveness, including the content of competitiveness, the evaluation methods of competitiveness and classification of competitiveness.Competitiveness can be divided into national competitiveness, regional competitiveness, industrial competitiveness and enterprise competitiveness in accordance with the competitors, the paper analyzes the sources of competitiveness and evaluation methods of national competitiveness,industrial competitiveness and enterprise competitiveness, which as the theoretical basis of this article.Third, this paper analyzes the developing process of China shipbuilding industry, and analyzes production situation, technical situation and ship equipment with related data, in terms of Logistic Model and then combined the added value data to Chinese shipbuilding industry. With the empirical analysis of its dynamic evolution, we reach the conclusion that China's shipbuilding industry has just come into the industry matured, and with finally ease of comparison, we made a brief presentation of Japan and South Korea's shipbuilding industry.Fourth, the empirical research is the core of this paper. At first we built the building industry competitiveness index which should reflect the ability of development of industry, ability of create value, ability of participation in international competition. This paper selects four indicators and removes one index based on the weight index of industrial competitiveness. Then with the requirements of the market performance, we selected five markets performance evaluation to reflect the industry's efficiency of resource allocation, efficiency and scale structure of the industry's technical progress efficiency in industry. We determined two factors reflected the size structure of industrial efficiency, technological progress, industrial efficiency and industrial efficiency of resource allocation through factor analysis, and made industry competitiveness evaluation model with them. With 2001-2009 sample data, we draw conclusions through empirical analysis. By coefficient of two factors are 0.885 and 0.672,the correlation is more significant between industry competitiveness index and performance indicators and the empirical results is so desirable.Finally, according to the empirical analysis, it is significant between industry competitiveness index and related performance indicators.We can effectively improve the industrial competitiveness by enhancing market performance. And then with Japan and South Korea's shipbuilding industry as a model,we propose the general idea and three specific ideas in order to improve the competitiveness of China's shipbuilding industry and hope to give some inspirations to it.
