The Study On Dominant Industries In Gan Nan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture

Now the development of the Tibetan economy and raising the living standards of the Tibetan people is the first major event of China's imminent. This article on the Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture examines this process based on the theory of the Chenery standard industrial structure, analyse the reasonableness of the industrial structure in Gannan Prefecture; Use the output-based theory to measure the output, then based on the theory of comparative advantage to calculate principal component scores by the main component, finally on the basisi of output and the score of the main components, determine Gannan dominant industries, locate dominant industries and product of dominant industries, This paper in the industrial restructuring of Gannan, the development of leading edge industries, sustainable economic development and social stability are of great significance.Through research and analysis, the following conclusions are reached: industrial structure from "one, two, three" in the evolution of industrial structure characteristic of the "three, one, two," which shows a gradual rationalization of industrial structure in Gannan. However using the H.Chengery Standard industrial structure as an evaluation basis, we can see there still exists an urgent need to adjust the industrial structure. At present,only the development of dominant industries to promoting the rapid development of Gannan economy as a whole, and effectively solving the employment problem.The theoretical basis of this study identified following industries as dominant industries by two method: animal husbandry, agriculture, food manufacturing, non-ferrous metal smelting and rolling and tourism.This paper is divided into six chapters. The introduction raises questions as to the selection of advantageous industries based on the literature review; The second chapter outlines the basis theoretical of the paper; The third chapter examines the current status of research and analysis of the industrial structure of Gannan; The fourth chapter use the output-based theory to measure the output, then based on the theory of comparative advantage to calculate principal component scores by the main component, finally on the basisi of output and the score of the main components, determine Gannan dominant industries,then locate dominant industries and product of dominant industries; The fifth chapter analyzes the problems of competitive industries in Gannan; The sixth chapter examines the feasibility of various measures and proposal for the development of competitive industries in Gannan.
