| With the rapid development of economy and the increasing of leisure time, people's desire to travel is becoming stronger and stronger. Thus, to develop high level economy hotels has become a trend.This thesis is arranged as the following:First, we made a questionnaire survey on the economic hotel market and the behavior of consumers in Changde which is a third-grade city in China. The result shows that the economic hotel industry has good development space with three characteristics:the industry is just on the stage of rising up, the construction of brand is under development, and the competition is intensive. The survey also shows that the consumers in this industry have the following features:the average age is becoming lower and lower; the consumers expect the accommodation to be convenient, neat, safety and comfortable; the consumers have a weak understanding about the economic hotels but a strong attention on the brand. This thesis analysis the consumers and their behavior through the SPSS software and the correlation and dependence of the seven factors to the inclination of brand propensity is found, which are the wage, the understanding about the economic hotels, the transportation, the education history, the development situation of the economic hotel in Changde, the consumer age and the evaluation about the economic hotels.Secondly, we made a SWOT analysis on the economic hotels in Changde and found that the economic hotel industry will develop rapidly if we follow the advanced management experience and methods of the economic hotel groups at home and abroad. Last, this thesis puts forward some strategies to promote the development of the economic hotel industry in Changde, which are to control the cost, to build excellent brand, to carry out strategy alliance and franchising. Then, this thesis offers some advices to promote the development of economics hotel industry in Changde upon the analysis of consumers and the runners, which are to design services with characteristics, to build brand, to advertise, to carry out net marketing, to cultivate more talents, to rearrange the hotel resources, to carry out strategy alliance, and to follow the path of franchising. |
