Performance appraisal of manager in corporate function department is an important indicator of improving corporate efficiency and core competence. In the field of management research and practice there has been consummate performance appraisal system of function department manager to be established and accumulated. In the process of application, scientific and accuracy of performance appraisal have been limited by different management levels\structural personnel characteristics \objective factors. In response to the phenomenon, performance assessment model and index system of different management levels and enterprise personnel by scientific design is a key points of the paper.Having done a great review on prior research, we defined the scope and characteristics of manager of corporate function department, and summarized the characteristics and requirements of performance appraisal of corporate function department manager, building SPOTRS-6 feature model of performance appraisal of corporate function department manager. We established performance appraisal system of different management levels, and verify the research results by empirical analysis FAW Group Purchasing staff.There are six chapters in this paper. The first chapter is introduction. We explained systematically the background and significance of topic\research status at home and abroad\main research contents methods and innovations of this paper.The second chapter is characteristic analysis of type and work performance of corporate function department manager. We defined the definition of corporate function department manager, summaried classification and quality of corporate function department manager, proposaled feature of performance appraisal of corporate function department manager.The third chapter is performance appraisal model building of corporate function department manager. We studied design principle\thoughts\content of performance appraise model of corporate function department manager, established SPORTS-6 feature model, proposaling step and mothed of performance appraise.The forth chapter is performance appraise indicator system of corporate function department manager. Based on SPORTS model indicator, we builded performance appraise indicator system, constructed for different levels of management personnel selected a different performance index, detailed analysis of the performance evaluation of the center, standards and performance appraisal cycle.The fifth chapter is empirical research. We used perfomance appraisal model and indicator to appraise FAW Purchasing staff performance by FAW Group as a case study of purchasing the object, and then analyzed the problem in corporate function department, proposaling optimization strategy.The last chapter is conclusion and prospect. We determined research process of this paper, summarize research results, analyzed the lack and follow-up studies.We used the course of literature survey, expert survey, questionnaire analysis, case studies and so on to expound and verify the research during the process of the paper, purposed innovation realized.(1)We proposed SPORTS model, offered corporate function department manager a general reference scheme.(2)We builded performance appraisal model of corporate function department manager perfomance. In the choise of indicators, we gave full consideration to the staff level, features, performance appraisal and the standard of performance appraisal, go a step further, appraised more objectively, scientificly the performance of corporate managers.
