The thesis clarified the conceptions of performance appraisal and performance management,and focused on improving the performance appraisal system of functional department of XX Company since performance appraisal is key factor of performance management,also described relevant theories of performance management.Meanwhile, according with relevant theories of performance management,the thesis analyzed the problems and the causes of problems existed in original performance appraisal system of functional departments of XX Company.They can complete their own personal jobs and achieve organizational goals at the same time.Then,the company can achieve the ultimate goal of strategic goals.Redesign the performance appraisal system of functional departments will make the level of original one rose to a higher level of performance management,so that the whole can improve performance,increase staff loyalty,and get effective protection for achieving strategic goals of XX Company. Through the performance appraisal system redesigned,the thesis tried to offer some methods for solving the problems existed in performance appraisal.And hope to be helpful for human resources managers.
