Intensive Urbanization has always been one of the key social science researches, this paper aims to study comprehensively the status and trends of intensive development of Kunshan area, analyze how Kunshan achieved the healthy development of cities by taking intensive urbanization development path in constraints of resource and environmental, investigate the specific strategies and practices how Kunshan achieve the effects of urbanization, which can be shared and referred by other cities, based on geographical environment and Statistical Yearbook of departure from Kunshan. Owing to the large population and scarce resources, especially the serious waste, and under the background of Scientific Outlook on Development, "Two types of society" and New urbanization, Kunshan choose the road of Intensive development path of urbanization that represents "intensive on space, develop contently" by the way of Improving the long-term mechanism Kunshan that intensive growth of population, change the traditional concept of space utilization City field, strengthen the intensive use of resources, adjust and optimize industrial structure and industrial distribution.Intensive urbanization is responsible for distribution of cities resources rationally and scientifically, which works must be under the guidance of grand strategy of Scientific Outlook on Development which relates to the global socialist harmonious society in China. Scientific Outlook on Development which includes the concept and contents of comprehensive, coordinated, sustainable and people-centered. Scientific Outlook on Development pointed out the direction for promoting urbanization intensive for us.
