This research idea derived from the topic that the state-owned economy expands its market share in some industry while the private economy shrinks. Petrochina and Sinopec, the state-owned stations are expelling the private stations through large-scale acquisitions and oil source control. At present, most private gas stations locate in city exurb rural towns. While the large state-owned gas station has begun to construct and buy gas stations in order to enlarge sales network, which intensifies the competition of the stations. The future of private stations is worrying.The research subject is to analyze the competitiveness of gas stations in township market through the evaluation of the competitiveness of gas stations. Through the analysis above, we can find the disadvantages and advantages of competitiveness of gas stations in township market, which is in favor of improving the competitiveness of private gas stations. The paper consists of five parts. In the first part, I put forward the research background, the theoretical significance and realistic significance of the topic. Based on the information above, I introduce the methodology, innovation, research framework and process. In the second part, I simply review the domestic scholars'important research results of Enterprise competitiveness and enterprise competitiveness evaluation theory and summarize both domestic and overseas theories about Competitiveness evaluation system and method. In the third part, I analyze the development of private gas stations in recent twenty years first and find out the existing main problems at present. And then, I model private gas stations'competitiveness evaluation by combining expert opinion method with analytic hierarchy process. The fourth part is empirical research. First, I confirm the sample number and select five private gas stations in Kuandian County to evaluate and analyze. Second, I collect data through questionnaires and financial statements, standardize the data, evaluate and sort the data with gray correlation analysis method and analyze the evaluation results. In the fifth part, I introduce the main research results and improving suggestions and summarize the imperfections.During the research process, I combine qualitative analysis with quantitative analysis, model private gas stations' competitiveness evaluation with expert opinion method and analytic hierarchy process flexibly, make qualitative indexes quantitative and evaluate and sort the competitiveness of sample data with gray correlation analysis method. I take the Manchu Kuandian County as an example and select representative stations to evaluate and analyze. I sincerely hope my research may help to improve the competitiveness of private gas stations. I also hope the research results are applicable to refined oil market in similar countries and lay foundations for the gas station research in rural markets.There are four main conclusions of this article. First, compared with state own gas station; private gas station has obvious advantage in marketing capability and profitability capability. Second, the Synthesized Competitiveness of private gas station is better than the Competitiveness of state own gas station. Third, the developing unbalance inside the private gas station. Fourth, though is the same of the gas station, the customers generally having different choice.
