Economic Analysis On Food Safety Problems Of China

Food is the necessary material for human existence .Food safety is related to people's livelihood , the whole social stability and development.Food safety is the important issue for agricultural development and national policy research.However, in real life,because of information asymmetry,producers who have information superiority produce counterfeit and shoddy products to cheat consumers.In recent years,food safety problems increase sharply,which has become the focus of world attention. Strengthening the monitoring of food safety becomes a serious task.It not only concerns the livelihood but also concerns China's international image.Firstly,the paper begins with food safety and the problem of externalities.Secondly, technically speaking,following the information asymmetry,this paper analyzes the causes of food safety issues with game model.Analysing the game between consumers and manufacturers, food safety mainly caused unperfect laws. On the other hand ,this paper analyzes the influence of the"Sanlu Baby Milk Powder Scandal",through the consumer confidence index ,import and export of dairy products ,the game between government and enterprise caused corruption.Based on the field survey,we see whether the Food Safety Law is known by consumers or not. At last,we learn the experience about design in food safety regulatory agencies from developed countries to explore the direction of regulatory reform in our country,to prevent food safety risks effectively,to protect peoples' living standards.
