Cruise Tourism Competitiveness Research Based On Niche Theory

With the major cruise ship companies entering the Asia-Pacific region and the income of the residents gradually improved,Chinese cruise consumption is coming. Many cities of China have introduced the program planning and construction of cruise home ports, setting off a wave of cruise tourism development tide. In order to analyze the cruise tourism development in eastern coastal cities, according to the competition between the niche theory, paper establishes the model of cruise tourism competitiveness based on the niche theory for Chinese eastern coastal cities after analyzing the characteristics of the cruise tourism, and referencing the method of tourism competitiveness evaluation. Paper conducted a measure of niche for cruise tourism of eastern coastal cities and finally did the evaluation for the cruise development of the eastern coastal cities.The main contents of this paper include five aspects:The first part is the introduction and literature review. Paper describes the background, the content, the significance, the technical route and the research progresses of paper. The second part is theoretical basis and the evaluation system. Paper constructs the model with the three dimensions which are market elements, resource elements and enterprise operation forces. Finally, paper designs the niche evaluation system of cruise tourism competitiveness. The third part is the empirical analysis and development countermeasures. With the object of coastal cities, paper conducts the empirical analysis. The result shows that the Hong Kong and Shanghai are located in first echelon; Guangzhou, Shenzhen and so on are located in the second echelon; Dalian, Sanya and so on are located in the third echelon; Qingdao, Xiamen and so on are the fourth echelon. The fourth part is cruise development situation of Chinese eastern coastal cities. Paper did the evaluation for the cruise development of the eastern coastal cities. The fifth part is last words. Paper Summarizes the main research conclusions, innovations and the further study direction and content.
