The Research On The Energy Consumption Situation In Xinjiang And Its Impact On Environment

Energy is the blood to support the development of economy. It is the material bases of the sustainable development of national economy and constant improvement of people's living standards. Xinjiang, as China's major energy base, is one of provinces with abundant resources. Its economic system centers on oases, so its environment is weak relatively and its environmental bearing capacity is lesser. If the environment is damaged, it can't be repaired again. The quality of environment directly affects the economic progress in Xinjiang. The economy in Xinjiang depends largely on energy consumption which makes the environmental quality worse. We can say that the energy consumption in Xinjiang is the main reason which causes environmental damage. Sustainable development theory demands us to focus on economic benefit, and at the same time to pay attention to environmental problems, and finally to achieve the coordinated development of economy, environment and society. It requires us to pay more attention to the protection of the environment when we use energy to develop economy.Based on the summarization of the present research at home and abroad, this thesis emphatically analyzes the energy production, consumption,efficiency and the environmental conditions of Xinjiang, and uses the positive analysis method to analyze of the important aspects which affect energy consumption and the influence degree of energy consumption on environment. Finally on these bases, it offers some suggestions to solve the energy consumption and environmental problems. The result indicates: the economic development of Xinjiang depends heavily on more energy consumption; for implementing the superiority of natural resources transformation strategy Xinjiang makes up the industrial structure based on the excavation industry and raw material industry which is the main reason to abundant energy consumption and the pollutant emission. The energy consumption amount and the coal-based energy consumption structure in Xinjiang caused important influence on environmental pollution.
