According to the number of devices in the energy system, the energy system will be divided into two categories: single and multiple energy system and this paper study the general process and methodology for this two kinds of energy system, at last based on this, for this two kinds of energy system- the elevator system (single energy system) and a pharmaceutical company (multiple energy system), the energy saving method case studies are done in depth separately.For a typical single energy system - the elevator system, the basic mechanism and rule of the elevator operation are studied and for the elevator system with complete information, through bottom-up approach the relation between output and input of the elevator system will be established. Then, the optimization objective will be determined as the minimization of the total energy and at the same time below the upper average waiting time limit. After that, the energy saving scheduling genetic algorithm (EGA) and the elevator simulation software system will also be established. At last, through the simulation calculation, the energy saving scheduling genetic algorithm (EGA) and nearest strategy will be compared; the results show the energy saving scheduling genetic algorithm (EGA) are lower than nearest strategy by about 23.6% for the total energy cost and a little higher for the average waiting time and the results show the energy saving scheduling (EGA) is verified and effective.For a typical multiple energy system - the pharmaceutical company system, the specific energy saving scheduling method for the pharmaceutical company system will be studied. The energy flow diagram for the pharmaceutical company will be constructed and through top-to-bottom approach, using statistical method, the relationship between the input and output is established. Then, with the objective of the minimization of the total energy cost, the production and energy scheduling model and the energy saving scheduling genetic algorithm for the pharmaceutical company are established. After that, the energy saving scheduling and control software system is established and using the energy saving scheduling algorithm, seven group instances are calculated and analyzed. By the comparison among the original scheduling results, the rule based results and the results of the energy saving scheduling genetic algorithm, the total energy cost of the energy saving genetic algorithm are lower than that of the original scheduling results by about 7.26%, which show the effectiveness and superiority of energy saving scheduling genetic algorithm.The energy saving scheduling methodology and two real cases studied in this paper are the creative research about energy saving by industrial engineering technique and scheduling method. This can give great theoretical and practical guide for the operation improvement and energy saving for all kinds of energy system.
