Research On The Effect Of Technological Innovation On Shandong's Export Performance

With the development of knowledge economy and the progress of science and technology, a country's comparative advantage is largely determined by its technical merit. And in international goods trade, the share of high-tech products is getting more and more serious. Although in recent years, Shandong's economy and trade are developing at high speed, its export trade is also facing international and domestic pressures. Our export product is low-skilled, uncompetitive, so it often encounters trade friction. Besides, domestic resources factor also severely restricts the development of foreign trade. So we need to keep export trade develop positively by improving technology innovation ability and changing the manner of foreign trade growth.Firstly, we will introduce some related concepts of technical innovation. On this basis, we then systematically describe technical innovation to export trade influence mechanism. In general, technology innovation can enhance the comparative advantages of export trade by improving elements utilization rate and labor productivity. Thereby, it will then change export product structure and make us get more trade interests.On the basis of theoretical analysis, we choose Shandong's relevant data to have an empirical analysis. Firstly, we analyze the current situation of technical innovation and export trade of Shandong, find existing problems in both of them and then preliminarily reveal the relationship between them. Next we discuss the technology innovation influence on typical industry of Shandong province by using Ordinary Least-Squares regression method, especially focusing on its influence on export of high-tech industry. Regression results show that the technology innovation indeed has certain effect on both high-tech industry and low technology industry. Therefore, through the theoretical research and empirical analysis, we conclude that the technology innovation has an incentive effect on export trade and put forward the corresponding policy recommendations. It is necessary for Shandong province to give more support to technology innovation and perfect the technology innovation influence mechanism on export trade, which will ultimately promote the development of export trade.
