B2B EC (Electronic Commerce), which is the production of the new economical era, has been the focus of the application and taken attentions of many enterprises. It gives the Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) more opportunities and platforms to compete with the Large Enterprises. EC and its chief mode B2B which are paid great attention to at current Internet application field and its current development are researched in this thesis.First, the basic definition of SMEs and EC are presented and the brief history and its status of B2B EC's development are reviewed. Second, the classification of B2B EC is introduced and typical application of it is summarized. Third, the environment of the EC development and its strategy on application is systematically analyzed. Fourth, some problems existing in the development of EC in SMEs of China are discussed in detail and some methods and approaches are proposed. Last, the strategy trend of the EC development of SMEs, meanwhile the prediction of the direction of the international EC development is presented.In a word, in the future, SMEs will have more shares in the world economy, and developing of B2B is necessary direction. The key problem which should be settled down is how to promote development of it by resources in existence and under the condition that inner and outer environments are not good enough.
