As the important technique in supply chain collaborative management, partner enterprise selection and assessment is the key approach for manufacturing enterprise to optimize supply chain, reduce production cost, and achieve mass customization. It is also the important research direction of mechanical manufacturing. Combined with the project Enterprise Collaborative Information Management System (Mass Customized Fork Lift Product Development / Manufacture Platform) which is sponsored by Zhejiang Province Manufacturing Information Engineering Research and Development Program, the methodology of partner enterprise selection and assessment for fork lift industry is investigated using Case-Based Reasoning (CBR) in this dissertation. According to Hangzhou Fork Lift Company (HZFLC), the partern enterprise selection and assessment system is designed and developed and implemented successfully.Chapter 1, firstly the fundamental concept, theory and characteristics of Mass Customization are introduced. Further, the characteristics of collaborative supply chain management based on mass customization are discussed and analyzed. Then, the research statuses of collaborative supply chain management and partern enterprise selection and assessment method, indices system are summarized. Finally, the objective of the dissertation is pointed out, and the research frame is presented.Chapter 2, Through analyzing partner enterprise selection under the mode of mass customization, the characteristics of this selection process, i.e. similarity, reusability and experience-based are expounded. The case-based method is proposed for partner enterprise selection. The application framework for partner enterprise selection using CBR is researched and the case-based partner selection process model is established according to HZFLC partner enterprise selection requirement analysis.Chapter 3, Based on the characteristics of HZFLC, the partner enterprise selection case representation is studied. Specifically, the representation method for fork lift purchasing material, fork lift partner enterprise assessment indices, and partner enterprise are investigated.Chapter 4, partner enterprise selection case retrieval strategy is proposed.
