The theory of Performance Management originated in the seventies of last century in US, and was introduced into China in the nineties. It is an integrated management system combining strategy, resource and business of the company. It is a very important theory to every company, including foreign capital company in China. Currently, more and more companies focus on how they could implement performance management effectively.To support foreign capital company do performance management well, the thesis expatiate the concept of Performance Management at the beginning. It emphasizes the definition of Performance and Performance Management; the significance and process of Performance Management. And then, it introduces the concept of Employee Engagement Survey and the relationship between these two concepts: performance management and employee engagement survey including the basic of Employee Engagement Survey and the necessity.
