Tourist souvenirs refer to commodities mainly characterized by commemoration of the tour. With the development of tourism, the development of tourist souvenirs has been receiving increasing attention nowadays. During the development of the souvenirs, the adoption of the regional culture as well as the proto-characteristics not only serves to improve the cultural level of souvenirs, to stimulate the economy in the tourist region, but also to advertise the distinctiveness of the region.The tourist souvenirs in the Bamboo Village represent the perfect combination of regionality, nationality and commerciality, the distinctiveness of which lies in the deep culture retained. Conducting a systematic research into the development of tourist souvenirs in the Bamboo Village is of great significance to the designing, production, operation and management of them. Meanwhile, such a research may set an example for the overall development of tourist products, among which the majority are tourist souvenirs.The subject matter of the research conducted in the paper is the tourist souvenirs in the Bamboo Village. Starting with the feasibility research of the development of these souvenirs, the paper attempts to define tourist souvenirs and other relevant concepts firstly, and then endeavors to put forth the overall developing pattern and the specific developing paths on the basis of the synthesis of an abundance of knowledge in numbers of fields, such as the study of tourist resources, marketing, psychology, aesthetics, advertising, folklore and ecology. Apart from the theoretical contribution, the paper also bothers to carry out a case study of the development of tourist souvenirs in Chongyi, Jiangxi Province, the home to bamboos, namely, the Bamboo Village, aiming at making a profound exploration in the aspect.
