Reacher On The Construction Of Software Development Team

Recently, software industry's contribution to the GDP of China becomes more and more significant. Whether software industry can develop fast and healthily is very important to our country's economy. Experiences show that project-oriented developing model is the most efficient means, so the quality of project management (especially the management of project team) determines the prosperity of software industry. So the thesis makes how to build project team the main research object based on the characteristic of project management. We put forward a new process of building software project team based on previous literature and give a solution to the question concerning the process of building a software project team.The thesis includes five chapters. In the 1st chapter we review the theories, views and hypotheses. Based on existing theories, we think there has not been a completely systematic methodology on how to build a software project team. In this regard, we propose a new process of building software project team.In the second chapter, we analyze how to determine a software project team's size. In view of the present theories that have not been able to quantitatively analyze the software project team's scale question; we use regression technique to analyze the factors that affect team scale dependent on the connected statistical data through the econometric method and give a quantitative method which determines the size of a software project team.In the third chapter and the fourth chapter, we analyze the question of how to select the team members. In the third chapter, in view of the fuzziness characteristic in selecting the software project team members and the characteristic of the project team members'ability components, we established a model of how to select the team members through the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process; In the fourth chapter, we analyzed how to choose the most important role (software project manager) in the software project team, by the present commonly used model which the competency model, and analyzed the competent the strength of the software project managers in Beijing area by a case study.The fifth chapter mainly analyzes the coherence between a software project and the project team. In view of the current negligence of whether a software project team is competent for the project development in China, we demonstrate how HBDI method can be used to assess the coherence between a project and the team.
