The Research On The Industry Competitiveness Of The Phosphate Industry

China is abundant in phosphorus resource. On the basis, the phosphate industry is developing rapidly, and the products get high reputation in the world. What's more, China is the biggest production, exportation country together with one of the biggest hot phosphoric acid producers globally. Based on the above mentioned factors, China is regards as the"giant"of phosphorus chemicals worldwide. But Chinese phosphate industry is not strong. The phosphate chemicals of China could not be more popular than that of America and Morocco, which are real giant in the world. The reasons is as follows: Firstly, on the structure of product exportation and value, China just focuses on the low-added value products like phosphorus rock which is with high quantity but little profit, inversely, China has to import huge amount of highly-added products such as fertilizer to supply the agriculture needs because of the resource waste; on the other hand, what we are lack of is just the competitive items of the other two countries, which have high profit room. Secondly, in the exportation region, there is fierce price war in the Asia market, but few Chinese manufacturers dare to break into the highly price continent such as Europe and South America. Finally, there are lots of problems in the industry itself.Aiming to compare the difference among three countries and enhance Chinese phosphate industry performance, the article analyses the phosphate industry in China from both Macro and Micro aspects. On one hand, it compares the phosphorus minerals,needs,traffic and electricity supply,the concentration of market and output,the laws together with the policies of foreign investment,the opportunity among the above mentioned three countries horizontally to find the weakness of Chinese phosphate industry. On the other hand, according to the investigation of the phosphate enterprises in Guizhou Province, the article keeps the eye deeper to look for some inner factor such as the operative capacity, human resource etc. which influence the competitiveness of a company so as to summarize the deficiency and problem of the companies in the current phosphate industry, in addition, the article compares the distance with the other countries. To end up, on the basis of the problem the above text found, the article makes some feasible suggestion for government, association of the phosphate industry, as well as companies separately for seeking a way to improve the whole competitiveness of Chinese phosphate industry.
