Research On The Contribution Of Governmental S&T Expenditure To China's Economic Growth

The paper attempts to explore the relationship between China's economic growth and the governmental S&T expenditure from the perspective of both demonstration research and performance evaluation.First, there is a reviewed on the basis research results of present papers. Then the paper tried to find out how does the governmental S&T expenditure contribute to China's economic growth in path. Secondly, collected the data of GDP and the governmental S&T expenditure from 1953 to 2005.Based on the two sets of datas,the dynamic relationship between China's economic growth and the governmental S&T expenditure is anglicised. After detail research ,some results have been concluded:the cause and effect relationship between economic growth and expenditure for S&T from 1953 to 2005 is very close,and the expenditure for S&T is main causation that brings about economic growth,but its function is not very distinct. Hereby,give out some advises to promote the economic growth,such as we not only pay much attention to the gross but also the structure and efficiency of the expenditure for S&T. Thirdly, we tried to build up the performance evaluation system of governmental S&T expenditure. The paper introduced how to choose evaluate targets rightly with kinds of mathematics methods. It also uses analytic hierarchy process and entropy-right method to endue the coefficients of each gene. Finally, showed the performance evaluation scores Model of governmental S&T expenditure.
