| With the advancement of S&T and the development of economy, the competitive circumstance have changed widely in the 21st century, and the current management modes of internal organization, operation system and competitiveness for conventional enterprises can not adapt to the new market conditions.In order to exploit potentials of enterprises and make them more efficient and more profitable, it is worth of rebuilding the present enterprises by supply chain management theory and technique. Because it regards not only the internal resources and core competitive competence ,but also the external ones ,and then emphasizes the integrating of them,so it is an effective managing thought and method. Therefore, it is meaningful to study the theory and technique of supply chain management to improve the management and competitiveness of modern enterprises in theory and in practice.Firstly, the paper introduces the definition,content,goals,main functions and characters of supply chain management. Meanwhile it analyzes the cause for using supply chain management.Secondly,Baotou Iron & Steel (Group) Co.Ltd deal with how to select supply chain members and how to design the supply chain according to its own characteristics of an enterprise, the main points for rebuilding the organization and operation system are restructuring the enterprise and speeding the use of information technology.Finally,it states how to evaluate the supply chain system and all the members after the supply chain system of BaoTou Iron & Steel (Group) CO.Ltd was established. |
