The Research On The Path Dependences Of China's Industrialisation

This paper intends to analyse the phenomena emerged during the process of china's industrialisation by the tools of "path dependence" thory, to give advice to the next industrialisation theoretically and realistically. There are four phenomena of path dependences in the china's industrialisation: government_dominant industrialisation, country& peasant_excluded industrialisation, industrial_promotion plingt, state_owned enterprises reform deadlock. After their causes analyzed, it is suggested that walking on the government_dominant path and using the force of government to break the other path dependences, then sometime appropriately the government withdraw from the common economic fields. But it should reinforce the democracy &nomocracy first to guarantee the officials' benefits accord with the commons. Also, due to the different cultures, there are different path dependences during the western countries' and the eastern countries' industrialisations. The Chinese culture is based on collectivism and conservatism, therefore it is important for institution construction. At the same time, it should consult the opposite views, inspire the innovation spirit, and treat all enterprises equally.
