A Study On Application Of Six Sigma Methods In Mobile Telephone Manufacturing

At present, the competition of mobile telephone manufacturing is keen more and more. The competitive field has been focus on the product's quality and technology which is the hardcore competence of enterprise. Otherwise, all the country, both developed and developing country are exploring the efficient approach which is how to improve product and service quality, and how to satisfy customers'request.In order to improve the quality of the product, the level of quality management must be developed. So the thesis purposes to seek a way that is suitable for quality improvement in one enterprise. By this way to improve the quality of product and then the hardcore competence of enterprise can be raised.In this paper, firstly SMT(Surface Mounting Technology)which apply in mobile phone manufacture has been analyzed. Then, the measure of SMT's quality control has been introduced. Additional, the application of 6σ's management method and 6σimproved mode have been discussed. Then 6σtools was applied to find out the root cause of low detect rate in 2DI(Two Dimension Inspection)system that used to check solder paste printing quality issue in mobile phone manufacture and by this way the production mode and the quality control process have been further improved. In the end the detecting rate has been raised to 93.5% from original 68%, and the result of this project has brought prominent benefits to the enterprise.
