As more competition in globalized market, more and more companies recognize it impossible to develop in the market only with own endeavor for long time. Instead, cooperation with upstream and downstream enterprises will be the must to adapt to the changing market. So supply chain management, as a new management model, get people's eyes gradually. In it, for more healthy development, how to build up effective supply chain performance measurement system to scientifically and wholly analyze and measure supply chain's performance is a problem needed to be solved urgently.This thesis, by studying a Fortune 500 chemical giant's performance measurement system's setting up and total process of operation, researches how companies, based on existing measurement indicators and relative information system, build up and implement their own supply chain performance measurement indication system which matches their strategic target and business specialty. In addition, it also summarizes some detailed experience of practice in companies when building up model and strategy of supply chain performance measurement system. All of them will inspire those companies who want to better their system on it. Therefore, this dissertation mainly do research to the following three parts:The first part introduces some studies of supply chain performance measurement system models from home and abroad. Then 2 models of them, applied by lots of companies, namely Balanced score card and SCOR, will be the focus.The second part is based on those academic works, it also researches main 3 kinds of strategies(based on cost, time, quality respectively) for different focuses since different business specialties. It emphasizes that the effective supply chain performance measurement system which balance the relationship of cost, time and quality can help company to improve their competitive advantage and realize supplychain target.The third part, by analyzing company B's supply chain performance measurement system's setting up and implementation, it achieves strategies of designing, implementing and application on supply chain performance measurement system, it approves the effective supply chain performance measurement system's necessary functions and two important setting-up basis: technical basis and organization basis.
