The Management Of Supply Chain Partnership Of J Company-Based On Balanced Score Card Method

Along with the rapid economic globalization, the pressure of cost control is continuously increased for enterprises and the expectations of customization in products and differentiation in services by customers are higher and higher. Nowadays, the competition between enterprises doesn’t only stay at company level, but it has extended to the level of supply chains of the companies. There are many Multi-national Corporations resorting to their local supply chain partners to achieve improvements in their quality, cost, lead time, manufacturing flexibility, financial results and overall operational metrics. However, due to a number of intrinsic issues among participants on the supply chain namely synergy, loyalty, distribution of profits and the protection of core technology, it is of paramount importance to ensure the selection of partner, the definition of cooperative relationship, the appraisal of partnership performance and incentive plans must be devised properly.Based on the research results of other scholars, this paper chose J company as the study object to analyze its current cooperation with supplier, its supply chain partnership management situation and to compare its supply chain management against its competitors. Through surveys and comparative analysis, the author attempts to establish a Balanced Score Card in order to identify the current inadequacies in J company’s supply chain partnership management. Moreover, based on the evaluative results, the author tries to establish managerial and incentive plans accordingly to help J company achieve continuous improvements in its supply chain partnership management. At last, the author gives a prospect of the application of the Balanced Score Card in enterprises for the future.
