Research On Selection Of Leading Industry During The Process Of Regional Sustainable Development

The leading industry is the main driving resource of the development of regional economy and plays the key role in the process of the regional industrial structure evolution. To choose the leading industry which can coordinate the relationship among economy, environment and society has very important significance and irreplaceable role.This article starts with the definition of the new characters that the leading industry should have for the regional sustainable development, and provides the idea that the leading industry should have the function of advancing the development of regional economy, protecting the regional environment and keeping the society harmony. Then, this article takes further research, and establishes appraisal index system of leading industry. By applying the factor analysis models, we can at last screen out several industries as regional leading industries.The formation and development of leading industry can't only depend on the function of market mechanism. By making leading industry supporting-policy, the government can have a good effect on the development of leading industry. This article proposes a series of the policy suggestion for leading industry support, including industry policy, consumption policy, government performance examination, etc.At last, this article applies the theoretical model to the reality of Zhejiang province and determines the leading industries.
