Study On Inbound Tourism Characters And Development Countermeasures In Hubei Province

Since the adoption of open-door economic reform policy, Hubei province inbound tourism acquired the fast development with the great development of Chinese. The inbound tourism had contribution to the development of economy and society of Hubei. Currently, Hubei inbound tourism faces the opportunity of the fast development in future. Basing on the data statistic analysis, this text tally up some characters of Hubei inbounds tourism as follows:(1) The development of Hubei inbound tourism is very quick. It is more sensitive and more undulate than that of the national. The development of inbound tourism primarily depends on the increment of the tourists' number and is very unbalance between regions.(2) The majority of inbound tourists to Hubei are foreigners, and that of inbound compatriots from Taiwan. The ratio of foreign tourists is rising year by year, while that of tourists from Hong Kong-Macau and Taiwan is descending year by year. Japan, America, Germany, England, France and Korea are those main tourist generating countries of Hubei. As for degree of approach Hubei, the tourists from England, France and German are highest. The Majority of the tourists are 25-44 years in age, male in sex, and government workers and profession technical personnel in occupation.(3) The flow of inbound tourists is unsteady with an annual big change rate. Most of tourists visit Hubei in June, September, October, showing obviously seasonal. The visitors' stay in Hubei is short, not over two days in average. These inbound tourists move mainly between Hubei and the provinces of developed tourism, along the trunk line.(4) The ratio of foreign tourists reports the up-trend. The Main purposes of foreign tourists are sight-seeing trip, leisure, meeting or business, and the traveling purpose of that inclines to concentration. Along with the development of travel individuation, the scattered tourists become an important part of tourists. The ratio of tourists for fist time is rising, but for time after time is descending. Tour resources of cultural relics, historic sites and landscapes are tourists' preference. The attraction of the traditional resources is descending. The inbound tourists mainly prefer industry articles, but interest in tradition travel merchandises is descending. The inbound tourists are not very satisfied with facilities of amusement and transportation, but dissatisfied with of toilet. The inbound tourists are higher evaluation to service quantity of guesthouses and restaurants and shopping.(5) The per capita daily expenditure level of inbound tourists to Hubei has ascended slightly. The per capita daily expenditure level of foreign tourists is tallest, but that of Taiwan compatriot is lowest. The per capita daily expenditure level of foreign tourists is up-trend, but that of Hong Kong-Macau-Taiwan compatriots is down-trend, and that of Taiwan compatriots had descended in biggest range. The per capita daily expenditure level of the male tourists is higher than the female. The per capita daily expenditure level of 25~44 age of them is tallest. The per capita daily expenditure level of the meeting tourists of them is tallest, but that of pilgrimage tourists of them is lowest, and breakdown of travel consumption purpose tend in equilibrium. The tourism consumption pattern of inbound tourism is unreasonable with that the ratio of tourism basic needed consumption of inbound tourists is excessive, but the tourism basic needed consumption of that few.According to the Hubei's tour development actuality, this text aims at the characters of the Hubei inbound tourism to put forward countermeasures by decision-making for the development of the Hubei's inbound tourism, as follows:(1) Improve the tour facilities to take the development opportunity of the inbound tourism by augmenting investment. By organizing efficaciously, the travel enterprises guard against risk together. Promote the inbound tourism Interior Growth to increase foreign exchange revenue, by augmenting lengths of tourists stay and raising tourists' consumption level. Make the region development of inbound tourism to tend in balance by implementing policy priority in regions of underdevelopment tourism. Implement linkage of regions to develop together with inter-province and inner of province.(2) Settle Hong Kong-Macau-Taiwan in one class target market, so do Japan, the United States, Germany, France, England, Australia and Canada. Develop the female tourists and old people's tourists market. Make business personnel, technical personnel and soldier to be the main guest source. Develop scattered tourists' market.(3)Develop the off-season tour product, and enlarge the promotion strength of the off -season tour product. Increase the lengths of tourists stay and the revisit rate to attain an end purpose of raising the inbound tour income by developing the sustainable attraction cultural and series tourism products.(4)Value the design and development of travel merchandises. According to tourists' needs, develop particularly vivid native features and abundant cultural content merchandises. At the time of developing the traditional merchandises, develop the tour merchandises of high-tech content to satisfy a vogue needs of tourists.(5)Make the pattern of inbound tourism consumption to tend in reasonable by enhancing shopping service efficiency, extension of the amusement choice space and developing holiday resort.(6)Improve service quality to build absolute new service environments by implementing service priority strategy.
