Inbound tourism is an important indicator of a country and regional tourism strengths. It is also a major method for the country of destination tourism to earn foreign exchange resolve employment. Since the 1970's, inbound tourism in Hubei Province has received an unprecedented development. Together with the unique location advantages and tourism resources, inbound tourism has made great contributions for economic and social development in Hubei Province. After the global economic crisis, inbound tourism in Hubei Province faces pressure from two aspects. One is from national tourism market pressure to reshuffle the cards; the other is from the responsibility to build strategic pivot of central China's task. On the other hand, it also receives the rare opportunities for development and forward propulsion. Therefore, it is of great importance to study the regional characteristics of market demand for inbound tourism in Hubei Province and its future development, establish a strict and feasible travel demand forecasting model so as to forecast and analyze the demand from a point and the surface perspective. The study is of strategic importance to enact tourism development policies, expand the market share of inbound tourism in Hubei, enhance the position of Hubei Providence's tourism in China as well as the world.This article analyzes from a practical point of view. It is based on classifying and summarizing literature reviews on domestic and international inbound tourism demand analysis. Based on theoretical analysis of the inbound tourism market demand characteristics, it makes objective and qualitative analysis of the inbound tourism market situation in Hubei Province. It summarizes the Immigration Development of tourism demand and the objective environment in Hubei. At the same time, based on the gray system theory, it builds gray inbound tourism demand model to predicate tourist arrivals and foreign exchange earnings, grasps the development trend of inbound tourism in Hubei, summarizes the development of inbound tourism in our province and the shackles of potential threats, correctives the corresponding measurements, and provide references and advice to the relevant departments of government travel and travel related companies to develop policies and programs. This article is divided into five chapters:Chapter one is an introduction. Through the introduction of reality, chapter one makes a brief description of research background and significance, research methods, and content of the study;Chapter two is the literature review and theory. Through the collection of domestic and foreign tourism demand and inbound tourism literature discussion, chapter two organizes the relevant discussion of inbound tourism in Hubei Province. It intensively induces and describes factors on inbound tourism demand theory and the theory of gray system, and lays a theoretical foundation for later qualitative and quantitative analysis;Chapter three is the status of inbound tourism in Hubei Province. Through Collection of analysis of the policy document, chapter three collates and analyzes statistical data in Hubei Tourism. This chapter makes qualitative analysis from the time of the entry structure of Hubei Province, Spatial structure of regional and demographic characteristics of the structure so as to identify the weak point and practical problems of the development of inbound tourism in Hubei province;Chapter four is inbound tourism demand forecasting model in Hubei Province. By building a prediction based on gray system theory model, chapter four uses data simulation and prediction, analyzes rationality evaluation model structure and limitations. Finally, the model makes quantitative forecast of inbound tourism demand in Hubei Province in the next five years, focusing on traffic and inbound tourism foreign exchange earnings. Last, it analyzes the predicted the results, compares the current status of the inbound tourism in Hubei Province and its prospect of development.Chapter five is the conclusion of the study and development proposals. From a summary of research findings, chapter five sums up the shackles and problems of the inbound tourism industry in our province, and put forward new ideas and suggestions on policy adjustments, management, industry linkage, marketing strategy for the development of inbound tourism in Hubei.
