Chengdu-Chongqing Dual Nuclei Spatial Structure And Competition-Cooperation Research

Under the Globalization and economic integration background, urban agglomeration develops into the main stream.The Chengdu-Chongqing dualnuclei cities which as a core of Chengdu-Chongqing economic region makes great efforts to improve the development of Chengdu-Chongqing economic region. Chengdu-Chongqing Dual-nuclei cities is typical of Dual-nuclei spatial structure. When a region has two cores existence, the competition and the cooperation are especially obvious and prominent .Only deal the relationship between Chengdu and Chongqing well, can improve the integrated developments of Chengdu-Chongqing economic region. So researching Chengdu-Chongqing Dual-nuclei cities and its Competition and Cooperation relationship is a key to Chengdu-Chongqing economic region.The dissertation is based on the current research results, and divided into five chapters to analyze systematically. In the first chapter, the dissertation's background, significance, the latest domestic and abroad research of Dual-nuclei spatial structure, the paper's purpose and the main question to solve are simply introduced. In the second chapter, systematically elaborate the Dual-nuclei spatial structure theory. The concept, property and characteristic of the Dual-nuclei spatial structure were expatiated. On the basis, analyze the Dual-nuclei spatial structure's formation mechanism, the economical movements' characteristic and the relationships of dual nuclei spatial structure. All of these lay the foundation of elaborating Chenthegdu-Chongqing Dual-nuclei cities. In the third chapter, tied Chengdu and Chongqing's historical evolution situations, apply Dual-nuclei spatial theoretical to analyze the formation of Chengdu-Chongqing Dual-nuclei and its characteristics. And from the competitive ability and the industry competitive ability aspects, compare the present situations of Chengdu and Chongqing economical development, which further shows that the two cities have obvious core disposition, the competition and the cooperation coexisted. In the forth chapter, emphatically analyzes the competition and the cooperation of the Chengdu-Chongqing Dual-nuclei spatial structure which mainly analyze from three parts. One side is analyzing the competition evolution, the performance and the origin of Chengdu-Chongqing Dual-nuclei cities.One side is analyzing the cooperation's evolution and the origin. The other side is applying Game Theory to further elaborate the competition and cooperation relations of Chengdu-Chongqing Dual-nuclei cities, and found the reason why the two cities have more competition than cooperation. Then adopt dynamic analysis on cities alliance, expected to find a way towards coopetition. In The last chapter, give some suggestions on competition and cooperation of Chengdu-Chongqing Dual-nuclei cities.
