The Positive Research And Appraisement Of Urban Competitiveness

Science and technology are going ahead and bringing about changes day after day.It makes rapid strides in the course of economics globalization. The city arouses more and more attention from people as a new competition body. The urban competitiveness arises from the study of the country competitiveness. In the first place, the article introduces the study about country competitiveness and urban competitiveness and analyses the advantage and disadvantage of present urban competitiveness study. On the basis of the study, the article generalizes the concept and essence of the urban competitiveness. Secondly, Follow the scientifc, rational, constant, effective, systematic, prospective and human-oriented principle, this paper brings forward a new evaluation index system and the index system generally and externally reflects the urban competitiveness in China. This index system has confirmed three major systems of economy, society, manpower, include: Synthesized economic strength, industrial structure, openning degree, scientific and technological level, infrastructure level, government's management level, urban environment, manpower capital and life quality; After subdividing several respect indexes, we have further confirmed 19 first class evaluation indexes. On the choice of the research approach ,this paper firstly using the factor analysis, comparing the urban competitiveness of 22 cities in china and give the ranks of main cities from the micro aspect. Then use cluster analysis, carry on the analysis of the 22 cities from the macroscopical aspect, finally,have verified the consistency of the result of study on the whole .Confirming the position in the competition of Shijiazhuang and at the same time analyzing the key factor influencing its competitiveness. Finally, on the strength of analysis, the paper puts forward the concrete policy recommendations that will promote the synthesized competitiveness of Shijiazhuang in the future.
