Chinese Petroleum Security And Its International Strategic Choices

As a world resource,the strategic value of Petroleum is reflected in the fields of international economy , Politics and military. Moreover, Petroleum is an important factor which affects the economic development,Political stability and security of a nation. With the accelerating of China's progress of industrialization,and the rapid developing of national economy, the import and consumption of Petroleum has been increasing rapidly,the contradiction of supply and demand has been sharpening,and the strategic importance of petroleum safety is becoming greater and greater. Therefore ,establishing and perfecting the strategy of national petrolatum safety has become an important realistic issue.The strategic system of petroleum safety is an organically-connected entirety, including strategic storage,nongovernmental storage,the exploiting of petroleum both at home and abroad,the adjusting of energetic consumption structure and the governmental policy about the countries from which we import oil.There are three parts in this paper. The first part shows us the meaning of the oil security, the relationship between the oil security and the economical security and the situation.The second part is about Chinese global economical strategy, which includes multivariate strategy and the strategy of participating in the international market.Finally, the last part is about our political choices towards the countries, which are our main oil import-area. For example: The Middle East has been being placed in a kind of special position in Chinese foreign relation for its special geopolitical position,the abundant natural resources,unique historical,cultural tradition and important influence on contemporary international politics. China as a world wide big power, its benefits zone is steadily extending. China became more positive and active in Middle East problem participating. It still accord with its rising big country image and latent benefits in this region. Then, the paper shows us the analysis of Chinese Middle East policy.The same as the description of Chinese Middle East policy, the paper also illustrates the Chinese policy about Russia,Latin American,Africa and Southeast Asia which has been made to protect Chinese petroleum safety.
