Study On The Classification And Evaluation Of Tourism Resources Basing On The Practice Of Tourism Planning

The classification and evaluation of tourism resources, a process ofunderstanding the attribute and value of the tourism resources deeply, are theimportant contents of the study on tourism resources. Its study is based on thequalitative analysis as well as quantitative analysis. Through the classification andevaluation, the rules of tourism resources' production and development and the valueof tourism resources can be found. The important theoretical achievements are tobuild up the system of tourism resources evaluation and perfect the theory on tourismresources value, hence provide guidelines to tourism exploitation and planning.Though compared with foreign countries, the classification and evaluation oftourism resources in our country are relatively late, a certain amount of achievementin our country also makes great contribution to the tourism development. In particular,a national standard——the Classification, the Investigation and the Evaluation ofthe Tourism Resources, have been playing an important role during the practicalwork. In this paper, a review of the classification and evaluation of the tourismresources in both our country and foreign country was made firstly, and the presentnational standard was analyzed especially. Then, through explaining the seventourism planning in Jiangxi Province, some problems existing in the practical work inwhich national standard was taken as a yardstick was presented. Lastly, basing on theproblems in Jiangxi Province and the studies made by the scholars in our country andforeign countries, the suggestions of building tourism resources classification systemand combining the evaluation of tourism elements with the evaluation of tourismcombination were made.
