Small and medium-sized enterprise is increasingly important in national economy along with the unceasing advancement of our country's market economy. But such importance and its present development are uncoordinated. This is due to the imperfection of strategic management.Based on a questionnaire towards 350 small and medium-sized enterprises in Xiao'gan and Wuhan, combining with some domestic and foreign cases, this article made an analysis of strategic features of them from a perspective of strategic management. Then, the author proposed that small and medium-sized enterprises in our country must give full play of their superiority, strengthen their strategic management throughout the whole process, that is, strategic analysis, strategic formulation and strategic implementation and to promote their competitiveness.This article is divided into four parts:1.analysis of the present status and the characteristics of small and medium-sized enterprise in national economy;2.introduces and analysis the theories of small and medium-sized enterprise;3.a questionnaire and an induction of the features;4.suggestions: strengthening the strategic management of small and medium-sized enterprise from the following aspects: strategic analysis, strategic formulation and strategic implementation...
