Regional Competitiveness Measure And Analysis On Enhancing Countermeasures Of Anhui Province

Regional competitiveness is a comprehensive reflection of the region's economic development. In recent decades, such research becomes more prosperous and diverse in domestic The theme of this paper is to calculate and evaluate Anhui regional competitiveness, and finds feasible countermeasures. to improve the competitiveness of Anhui. Currently , Anhui national economy overall rankings is in a relatively backward ,which is disproportionate to Anhui's geographical advantages and resources relative advantages.And this paper just points out this problem, identify the main differences between the neighboring provinces and Anhui, then points out the basic points for economic development and some key problems needing attention.The paper first reviews the domestic and international theories of competitiveness, explains some important concepts directly relating to competitiveness, investigates the competitiveness of the various models, and the paper selects the quantitative calculation model as the basis for the final model. Secondly ,it choices questionnaire factor analysis in the software SPSS to compare Anhui provinces with other provinces, and made a regional competitiveness rankings.Thirdly, it combines with another factors from the actual situations and the results of factor analysis, and uses SWOT method to analysis regional competitiveness ranking results, and the gap between Anhui and other provinces.Finally, it raises up some countermeasures to improve the competitiveness of Anhui.The main conclusions of this paper include two aspects:(1) Anhui regional competitiveness ranks lower in all the 11 provinces the same as in the central six provinces.ranks obviously backward contrasted with Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces in the Yangtze River Delta region(2) The reason of Anhui's regional competitive ranking backwrd mainly rely on such factors :the small total economy,the low level of opening to the outside,the low level of urbanization,the major cities is not so strong,human resources small contribution to economic growth,scientific and technological input disproportionate to output,low level of industrialization, and etc. The deeper reasons are: the conservative local culture,the administration is inefficient,as well as regional economic development strategy planning errors.The suggestions of the paper include:(1) Expand the Anhui external openness of the market, strengthening foreign economic exchanges(2) Integration of inter-district resources, and implementation of strategies to East(3) Enhance the competitiveness of the urban agglomeration, make clearly strategy on regional economic development(4) Choice leading industries, and make a clear strategy for industrial development(5) Optimization of the industrial structure, enhancing the competitiveness of industries(6) Improve enterprises efficiency and rapidly increase competitiveness of enterprises(7) Increase innovative research and development capabilities of research institutions, provide scientific and technological supports for economic development(8) Improving the efficiency of governance, building a service-oriented government...
