With the intensifying of market competition and the increasing of demand uncertainty, the success of an enterprise becomes more depend on the quick response to customer orders, and the competition between enterprises has changed to Time-based competition (TBC). Under the business circumstance of globalization and distribution, coordination together with competition is a new kind of relationship among supply chain members, and conflicts are unavoidable in order to gain self-optimization instead of globalized optimization. Therefore, the problem about supply chain coordination decision based on random delivery time has significant value in theory and practice to recognize the nature of supply chain coordination, to explore the cooperation motivation hiding behind the cost and benefit of firms, to develop the mechanism of coordination operation, to shorten product's delivery time, and improve the competitive power of supply chain. This thesis analyzes the major problem and studies the value of time in the supply chain coordination management, based on which it advances two kinds of supply chain coordination models. To the first model which we called supply chain coordination model based on shortening delivery time, it means we urge the supply chain members take better advantage of the demand information within the delivery time through improving the operating mechanism, so we can reduce the extent of the information incompletion. To the second model which we called supply chain coordination model based on information sharing, it means we turn to the information-sharing mechanism from the linked information communication mechanism and then shorten the transferring time among the members, so it can reduce the asymmetry of the information and the mistake of the forecasting error. As far as the first coordination model is concerned, considering a two-echelon supply chain system with one manufacturer and its customers, we formulate a coordination decision model of delivery time and price based on capacity, and then analyze how to make coordinated-decision between delivery time and price combined with the actual capacity of the firm. As far as the second coordination model is concerned, we consider a two-echelon supply chain system with one distributor and one manufacturer, which supply the customers with a kind of short life cycle product. We establishes delivery time and quantity decision models separately in decentralized decision mode and centralized decision mode when the manufacture's delivery time are random, and it also analyses the optimal decisions under these two modes.
