The small and medium-sized enterprise is an important part of national economy and a dispensable element of social economy. Along with the domestic market daily opening, the foot steps of economical global integration speed up gradually and international economic competition and domestic economic competition become more and more fuzzy. Although the enterprise in our country is facing huge development opportunity, at the same time these enterprises must consider calmly how to seek for survival and development in this tide. The appearance of Electronic commerce makes the small and medium-sized enterprise see the hope to break the limit of traditional factors, have the possibility to compete fairly with big-sized enterprise on the same starting line and provide a new chance for the small and medium-sized enterprise's global competition.This thesis revolved three big subjects: electronic commerce, small and medium-sized enterprises and competitive power. By using the theory of Economics, it deeply analyzed electronic commerce's influence on enterprise's competitive power. It considered that electronic commerce was the effective ways for enterprise to achieve its competitive advantage and promote its competitive power. It carried on a deep investigation into electronic commerce's current application situation in the small and medium enterprises, and considered that at present small and medium-sized enterprises still existed many deficiencies in applying electronic commerce though some achievements had been gained. On the basis of small and medium-sized enterprises'current competitive power and their current situation, this thesis pointed out that electronic commerce could make up a deficiency in the course of operation of small and medium-sized enterprises and electronic commerce's role in promoting small and medium-sized enterprises'competitive power cannot be overlooked. In the end, on the basis of small and medium-sized enterprises'deficiency and their problems in applying electronic commerce, this thesis came up with a few countermeasures on how to promote small and medium-sized enterprises'competitive power by using electronic commerce.
