Research On Green Barrier In Our Country's Electromechanical Product Export

At 1995,electromechanical product became the largest kind of export product instead of textiles. And then it continuously stands the first position in the domestic. At the first part of 2007,the export account of electromechanical product reaches $ 309.95 billion, accounting for 56.7% of the total export account. Expanding export of electromechanical product makes sense of Chinese increase of export and development of economy. However, our export of electromechanical product suffers more and more green barriers along with decreasing of traditional trade barriers and improving of global environmental protection sense.At present, green barriers which towards our electromechanical product are major from importing countries' environmental protection regulations. According to incomplete statistic, there are about $ 9 billion electromechanical product export suffering from Protection of Ozone Layer Agreement, $ 8 billion from foreign green label scheme and $ 24 billion from the developed countries' high demand of environmental protection packing.This thesis tries to study the green barriers in electromechanical product export with eight chapters. First it states the background and sense of this topic, the current research status at home and abroad and the major content of this thesis. Then it introduces the concept, characteristic, generation background, form and relationship with laws and regulations of environmental protection of green barriers. After introducing, it analyses the current status of our electromechanical product export. Later it describes the green barriers and reasons in our electromechanical product export and the effects which is made by green barriers on our electromechanical product export. Affecting analysis includes qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. Qualitative analysis is divided into increasing speed effect, product structure effect, market structure effect, producing cost effect, nature of enterprise structure effect, technologic progress effect. Quantitative analysis uses gravity model and China-EU automobile trade to get the conclusion: green barriers have negative effect on our electromechanical product export. At last, this thesis puts forwards Countermeasures for overcoming green barriers from enterprise itself and relative departments on the basis of previous analysis, besides it makes concludes and wishes.
