The Study On The Relation Between The Economy Development And The Variety Of The Environment Quality In Wuhai

Since the reforming and opening, as the rapid development of the economy in our country, a wide range of environmental problems emerged, and we are facing how to deal with the relationship between the economic growth and the environmental pollution problems. The economic growth needed consume resources and produced a large amount of wastes, so it will inevitably have an impact on environmental quality, and environmental problem could produce reaction to economic growth conversely. Thus, economic growth and environmental development are mutually reinforcing and mutual restraint. Wuhai City is a resource-based industrial city which depended on coal and is an important production base of the coal, energy, building materials, chemical industry and characteristic metallurgy industry in Inner Mongolia. At the same time, there are many environmental problems, and it is imminent to research the relationship between Wuhai city's economic growth and environmental quality, and to achieve the coordination development of economy and environment.The paper regarded Wuhai City's canton as research range, on the basis of analyzing comprehensively the economic and environmental situation, considering the characteristics of industrialization development and urban environmental problem in Wuhai City, and constructed the comprehensive evaluation index system of the level of economic development and environmental quality in Wuhai city according to the certain principles. The paper evaluated comprehensively the level of economic development and environmental quality in Wuhai city based on statistical data in past years, using principal component analysis. The paper established a measures model to study quantitatively the coordinating degree and the coordinating development degree of the economic development and environmental quality by applying the concept of the coefficient variation, according to the type system of the coordinated development and its criterion standard, and carved out of the coordination development types. In order to further reveal the relationship that economic growth and environmental quality of the Wuhai City, the paper has done an EKC curve analysis, and the results showed that the traditional inverted U-shaped curve EKC could not well explained the relationship between the economic growth and the environmental pollution of the Wuhai City. The simulation showed that the relationship between the industrial sulfur dioxide emissions and economic growth took on a logarithm curve, and the relationships between the industrial wastewater emissions and the economic growth, and the industrial gas and economic growth are both took on a three times curve in mathematically.
