Study On Optimizing And Upgrading Of The Industrial Structure In Zhangzhou

Scine economy developes with the continuous adjustment and optimization of its structure, optimizing the industrial structure and promoting the industrial upgrading have become common laws of the contemporary world economic development. To Zhangzhou, one of the coastal cities of Fujian Provience, it is an urgent subject to be studied on that how to seize the good development opportunities of the accelerated industrial upgrading in the province and even in the country, how to take full advantage of the favorable conditions, such as its superior resources and the geographical advantages to Taiwan, and how to grasp the variations of the industrial structure, to smoothly fulfill the optimization and upgrading, and to promote the realization of the new economic leap.Based on the fundamental theory and methodology on industry economics, this paper has objectively analysed the industrial structure in Zhangzhou, using the method with a series of combinations: theoretical analysis with empirical analysis, quantitative analysis with qualitative analysis, and studies on current situation with that on countermeasures. The data of more than 20 sectors in Zhangzhou have been calculated and analysed, and the leading industries in this city have been concluded. With the use of SWOT analysis and the combination with the industrial development practice, several policy suggestions on how to promote the optimization and upgrading of the industrial structure in Zhangzhou are presented as well.
