Performance appraisal is to "dig" out the performance.The fundamental purpose of performance appraisal is to improve effiency,and to enhance the effectiveness through management methods,such as evaluation.With rapid development of the economy over the past few years, some large and medium-sized enterprises currently operating patterns have changed, and enterprise providing rapidly customers with innovative products and services has changed as well. Enterprises will put the performance appraisal indicators and how to improve business performance in the first place. A correct indicator of performance appraisal can promote organizational change. What is the correct indicator of performance appraisal? It must have three important characteristics: (1) Easy to understand by staff;(2) Close with the current management activities; (3) Effective and helpful for company policy.Indicators of performance appraisal are key indicators of all departments. A correct and reasonable assessment of indicators can help enterprises to obtain competitive advantages and achieve profits.The author works at a labor-intensive IT company, which focus on computer accessories. Since established in Suzhou in 1999, the company began to carry out overall performance appraisal; however not all carry-out come out with expected results.For the reasons above,the author studied the performance appraisal management of large and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises in both domestic and foreign; analyzed the problems existed in the old evaluation system; combined with current performance management that popular in major companies;combined qualitative measurement and quantitative measurement,internal evaluation and external evaluation , finally designed a new performance appraisal system-a complex system. After theoretical verification,this new evaluation system can meet the principle of "fairness, justice and openness". Then the author will take the system into practice,to standardize, institutionalize, and normalize this system in order to improve the fairness and comparability of the process and result. Finally develop with a company-characteristic performance appraisal system which will play a great role of guiding and incenting.
